Digital Certificate from GeoTrust: Protection to Stand By

Posted by John Speaks and Keiko Mita on on 24th Oct 2014

We recently purchased an SSL Certificate (Secure Lockets Layer) from GeoTrust, the world’s second largest digital certificate provider. An SSL Certificate creates a secure link between your browser and a website in order to protect online transactions. In the past your purchases were protected by a shared certificate with our website provider, but we wanted to provide you individual protection.

It is only possible to obtain an SSL Certificate through a Certificate Authority, in this case GeoTrust. The Certificate Authority conducts several identity checks to verify that we are a legitimate business and provides up to 256-bit encryption so you can make purchases worry free.

If you are ever in doubt whether your transactions are protected check the URL bar. When you proceed to checkout a green lock and https appear before the domain name to confirm that the secure link is operative. We also display the GeoTrust seal to give you additional confidence that it is safe to conduct business with us online.
