Born and raised in Taiwan, Yen’s contemporary jewelry is heavily influenced by Chinese culture and art. Similar to Chinese painting, he views his work as an expression of the mind. Yen works primarily in 18K gold, sterling silver, and precious stones. His techniques include fabrication, forming, fusing, soldering and stone setting.
